The first thing that strikes you as a visitor at Nyhavn a sunny summer day is that there are so many people sitting outside the open air restaurants on the boardwalk along the Nyhavn canal. There are people of all ages who have chosen to bring their own food and drink and enjoy the sun of a picnic next to Nyhavn restaurants.
