Temminck's Stint (Calidris temminckii) breed in northern Europe and Asia, in Russia and in the mountain areas of Scandinavia, and sometimes in Scotland. The Temminck's Stint is normal migratory and is wintering in fresh water in tropical Africa and South Asia.The Temminck's Stint breeds in taiga, often in swamps and marshes, but also in other places where there is sparse and low vegetation.
It eats mostly insects and other small invertebrates.
