The Northern Cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis) is a North American bird and it is also known as the redbird or common cardinal. The bird can be found in southern Canada, through the eastern United States from Maine to Texas and south through Mexico. The Northern Cardinal is found in woodlands, gardens, shrublands, and swamps. The diet of the Northern Cardinal consists mainly of weed, grains, and fruits.
