The Nightjar (Caprimulgus europaeus) is a nocturnal bird that breeds in Eurasia and northwestern Africa.The Nightjar mostly live in open environments or open forest. In Europe, on the open moorland and scrub, but in its northern distribution mostly in sparse pine forest and in clearings.
The Nightjar's diet consists of flying insects caught in flight.
