Lance Edward Armstrong, originally Gunderson, born 18 september 1971 in Plano, Texas, is an American former racing cyclist. Lance Armstrong is the only cyclist who has been nominated the winner of the Tour de France seven times, which was 1999-2005. In August 2012 USADA announced that he would be deprived of these titles after giving up in face of doping allegations. This decision was done in October 2012 by the International Cycling Union (UCI). During his career he never won Giro d'Italia or the tour of Spain (the Vuelta a España).
