BIRD OF THE DAY
Rosy-faced Lovebird (Agapornis roseicollis) also known as the Peach-faced Lovebird. Its original distribution area is dry, open areas in southwestern Africa. Distribution area stretches across Angola, Namibia, Namib Desert to the lower parts of the Orange river valley in northwestern South Africa. It occurs at altitudes up to 1600 meters in the large-leaved woodland, semi-desert and mountain areas.It is dependent on access to water and gather food where there is fresh water to drink.
Escaped cage birds inhabit many parts of the world such as Arizona and London.
