The Little Auk (Alle alle) is breeding in the northern holarctic region. The Little Auk winters in the northern parts of the Atlantic Ocean and it's coast down to the North Sea and Skagerrak.
The bird lives in large colonies on rocky coasts in open ice-free oceans. It builds its nest in rock crevices and under large rocks.
The main diet is small crustaceans and plankton caught close to land.
