The Collared Flycatcher (Ficedula albicollis) breeds in eastern Europe and southwestern Asia. The bird is a migratory bird that winters in central parts of Africa, the Congo Basin.

This species belongs in the deciduous forests, parks, meadows and gardens, and often choose older forests. The Collared Flycatcher build open nests in cavities in trees and can easily utilize the services of a standard birdhouse.

The Collared Flycatcher mainly eat insects and larvae.
