| Spotted Crake |
During the breeding season the Spotted Crake is shy and heard more than seen. It is then a noisy bird with a typical repetitive huitt, huitt-sound. It is easier to see the bird during it's migration.
The Spotted Crake's nesting sites are wetlands and reed lakes.
The Spotted Crake eats mostly insects and invertebrates, but also some aquatic plants.
