Living clouds of Starlings

Thousands of starlings forming a living cloud. If one bird changes its direction, others do the same, creating a magnificent rippling effect called Murmuration. It’s a magical sight! It occurs in February and November, so check out the sky every once in a while!

The starling  (Sturnus vulgariswas originally a palearktisk spread mostly south of the Arctic Circle and it is widely spread in Europe and in Central Asia east to China. Starlings inhabit almost all types of terrain. The starling is also found in cities, in the larger cities it can be seen in the most central parts.
