The starling (Sturnus vulgaris) was originally a palearktisk spread mostly south of the Arctic Circle and it is widely spread in Europe and in Central Asia east to China. Starlings inhabit almost all types of terrain. The starling is also found in cities, in the larger cities it can be seen in the most central parts.
