Tundra Swan
The Tundra Swan swan (Cygnus columbianus) breed on the Eurasian tundra from the Kola Peninsula to the estuary of river Kolyma in eastern Siberia. In fall the birds fly over the White Sea and the Baltic Sea to the south and winter in the North Sea coasts, in England and Ireland. Another part of the population overwinters in the Caspian Sea, Aral Sea and in East Asia.

The North American population of the Tundra Swan breed around the coasts of northern and western Alaska and northern Canada. These birds spend the winter on the entire U.S. West Coast, in Texas and on the east coast between Cape Cod and Cape Fear.

Tundra Swans nest in the marshes of the Arctic tundra. In the winter the Tundra Swans are often close to the coast.

Tundra Swan feed on aquatic plants and grasses.
