Hawfinch

The Hawfinch (Coccothraustes coccothraustes) is a big finch with very strong beak. The Hawfinch is nesting in large parts of Europe and temperate parts of Asia. The northern populations are migratory birds, while the southern is sedentary.

In the autumn the Hawfinch eats kernels of cherries. In addition the bird eat the kernels of berries, checkerberry etc, and different kinds of seeds.
